The 92nd Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) for the best films of 2019, took place on February 9, 2020 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles from from 17:00 PT. After more than a decade in which the ceremony took place at the end of February, this ceremony was held at the beginning of that month. During the ceremony, the Academy Awards (popularly known as the "Oscars") were delivered in 24 categories.
